History of Grama Panchayat

Kalpakancheri Grama Panchayat is a rural region rich in history and cultural heritage. It is believed that the area got the name “Kalpakancheri” because it was once densely covered with Kalpaka trees. The people of this land actively participated in the Indian freedom struggle and the Khilafat Movement, contributing many patriots to the nation. The ancient Kanancheri Juma Masjid and Haivandaram Kavu are symbols of the village’s religious and cultural heritage. Kalpakancheri is a model Grama Panchayat that continues to progress while preserving education, religious harmony, and social unity.
